Toning Tables are a passive exercise system (definitely NOT a lazy way to
exercise) your muscles are worked over 2000 times in just 1 hour.
The motorised exercise tables enable your muscles to work repeatedly
without stress or strain, to tone and strengthen in the shortest possible time.
Our Active Toning Centre at 404 Bolton Road , Blackburn, Lancashire, is ideal for people of all ages and fitness levels from 8 – 80+.
Being active is vital for good health, but research shows that most of us don’t get enough. We are here especially for those people who find a traditional gym/health club a bit intimidating.
We have trained staff who will introduce you to the wonderful benefits of the Toning Tables and will be with you every step of the way to guide and assist you.

What are they?
A studio room with 10 Toning Tables each working different muscle groups. Each table runs for 7 minutes and when you’ve finished one you simply move onto the next. A full session lasts approximately 1+ hour.
How do they work?
By repetitive ISOKINETIC exercise to isolated muscle groups. With regular use CONTINUOUS PASSIVE MOTION (CPM) improves mobility, flexibility and localised blood and lymphatic circulation.
The repetitive movements increase the number of fibres that are continuously contracted which determines the TONUS (elasticity) – causing muscles that have sagged to become tighter, firmer and stronger.
What’s the result?
FAST INCH LOSS – with each major muscle group being contracted more than 2000 times per session, there is a very fast gain in Tonus to the fibres. The effect of this is to produce a tightening of slack muscles and corresponding inch loss.
IMPROVE POSTURE – flatten the tummy and pulls in the buttocks, making both appear firmer and smaller.
RE-ALIGN THE PELVIS & SPINE – helps to eliminate Kyphosis and Lordosis (hunched and sway back).
STRENGTHEN & LENGTHEN POSTURAL MUSCLES – restoring them to their natural length.
By strengthening the upper spine and lengthening the upper chest muscles – shoulder droop is corrected and the bust line is lifted. The Thoracic spine is straightened making the client look taller. Plus relief of lower back pain with 70% of users reporting total relief within weeks of commencement.
REDUCES CELLULITE – the ‘venus return’ of blood to the heart is stimulated increasing the removal of waste products from the cells. As localised blood and lymphatic circulation is stimulated it helps to eliminate toxins which can cause water retention.
IMPROVED MOBILITY & FLEXIBILITY TO MUSCLES AND JOINTS – both the muscles and joints ability to bend and rotate through a full range of movement is increased and therefore less vulnerable to injury.
PRODUCTION OF SYNOVIAL FLUID – the body’s own lubricant essential to keep the joints healthy, mobile and pain free (see arthritis).
ALLEVIATES TENSION – promoting a feeling of well being and self confidence – can help you sleep better.

How often should I use them? RESULTS from JUST 1+ HOUR per week
For optimum benefit and to maintain improvements we recommend using the tables or the chairs at least 2/3 times a week. However some clients love it so much that they attend every day!
But I have problems?
Older people, arthritics, back & joint sufferers, post cardiacs and the very unfit – all are able to use the Toning Tables comfortably.
Cardiac output is not increased during CPM thus making this activity particularly safe for clients with a history of Angina, Cardiac problems and Hypertension.
Osteo-arthritis inhibits the production of SYNOVIAL FLUID – so it is essential that affected joints be exercised regularly to promote production of this lubricant.
